About Us

The Silver Spring Community Edible Garden was an initiative by the community members of Silver Springs. The community garden project was initiated in November 2009 by a handful of community volunteers.

The main goals of this community edible garden are:

  • Creating a pesticide free edible garden
  • Educating the young and the old on gardening, water preservation and the natural world
  • Creating a sense of community
  • Sharing with those in need
