Incorporated in 1988, the Alberta Native Plant Council (ANPC) is a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer led and run organization that shares knowledge and supports the conservation of native plants and native plant habitat in Alberta through outreach, publications and guidelines, stewardship, advocacy, research and funding and implementing native plant projects.
The ANPC provides a provincial forum to promote knowledge and conservation of native plants in Alberta, develop guidelines for appropriate use of Alberta's native plants develop guidelines for appropriate use of Alberta's native plants, develop conversation, restoration and monitoring actions for the preservation of natural habitats and plant communities and more!
Our volunters provide crucial support to ANPC as it works to advance the understanding of native plants and ecosystems in Alberta. If you are passionate about native plants, ecosystems and their long-term sustainability consider volunteering with the ANPC. No experience required. Check out
