The Braeside Garden Committee was formed in May 2023 with the goal to create an ecosystem sanctuary space next to the BCA community building to improve the environment and make Braeside a more sustainable and enjoyable place to live. This space will be much more than garden boxes. We are designing garden beds to attract pollinators, researching permaculture to rejuvenate natural plant species, building bird houses to attract birds, planting a fruit tree orchard and working with the city to develop a small urban forest and seating areas to sit and enjoy it all.
