About Us

St. Albert the Great Community Garden is on land owned by St. Albert the Great Parish Church. It was established in 2018 with 42 boxes in the garden. Box owners are asked to not bring pets, avoid smoking, and to not use synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides as well as be cautious to not grow invasive species. A picnic table is available for box owners and community members to use as they enjoy looking at the garden. Box owners are asked to spend 15 minutes a week, or an hour a month to help maintain paths and common areas, check the compost pile and water if needed. Clean-up events are planned in the spring, fall, and once or twice over the summer. Produce is for box owners use only. For more information on the garden please email satg.garden@gmail.com.
